This is an older hotel and you have to bear that in mind when staying here. I think it gives it charm and character. It's very good value. The staff were very helpful. I would stay here again

Afternoon tea today as always was delightful. The Chef now makes everything from scratch and you can tell. Our server Natalie is so kind and attentive, she certainly deserves recognition. 10/10

The hotel made a good base for a city break and our package included breakfast and dinner on the first night. It was good value. On arrival we had a warm and friendly welcome and during our stay staff were friendly and helpful. Our 4th floor room had great views over Union Terrace gardens and across the city. There was a comfy seating area, fridge with water and good wi-fi. The shower pressure was good and the overall the room was well maintained. I wasn't the biggest fan of the bed and would like more shower products in the bathroom. We had a great dinner in the hotel and I was pleased with the food quality. The breakfast had a wide selection and again the quality was good. The dining space was pleasant but could do with a refresh. We were happy with our stay and feel it is a shame the hotel is being sold.

Loved our large comfortable big room with a great view of the city. The staff at the desk worked very hard and it was easy to see they needed more than one person running the desk. If you have a car to park it could be quite expensive if you don’t get one of the very few spots the hotel has.

Stayed here on 12/08/2026 for work and would stay again. Very friendly and helpful staff when I had issues with my key. Incredible location right across from Union Terrace Garden and not on the main road so quiet. Slightly down the road from Sugar Bird Wines which is a must visit. Room was good size for myself and clean, comfortable and had a great sleep Thank you, George

Overall, a satisfactory hotel. The building is quite old, but the rooms are cozy and warm. You might expect a bit more from a four-star hotel, but overall it’s a great place, especially for its location and the beautiful view over Aberdeen.
